In this animated comedy, two courteous twin gophers are engaged in a game of gin in their subterranean abode when a dog inadvertently buries his bone directly on top of them. The gophers attempt to reason with the dog, persuading him to reburial the bone elsewhere. However, the dog remains uncooperative and relentlessly pursues the gophers, ultimately leading them to seal a gas main from the outside.
