In Taormina, Italy, two Americans meet and form an instant connection. Hal, an aspiring poet, recognizes Josie, a semi-famous folk musician. They bond over their shared passion for writing and eventually, Josie invites Hal to stay with her at a villa to focus on their craft. As they spend more time together, their creative insecurities begin to fade, and they find comfort and inspiration in each other.
