A zookeeper's dual life is threatened when his mistress and wife discover his stagnant music career and question his true priorities.

Artie Shaughnessy, a zoo attendant, dreams of becoming a successful songwriter, but his mistress, Bunny Flingus, and his wife, Bananas, both think his songs are terrible. On the day Pope Paul visits New York City, Bunny convinces Artie to reach out to his old friend, film director Billy Einhorn, to get a job writing music for his movies. However, before Artie can make the call, his son, Ronnie, goes missing and is revealed to be planning to bomb the Pope at Yankee Stadium, with devastating consequences.
