A young boy, Pedring, yearns to leave his abusive stepfather and connect with his American father. He finds solace in the wilderness with his Aeta friends and discovers a mysterious egg from Mount Pinatubo's eruption. The egg hatches into a giant pterodactyl-like creature, whom Pedring names Bulkan, and they form an unbreakable bond.
