Steve Brule, a socially awkward and mentally slow bag boy, longs to date and marry the checkout girl, Daisy. However, he believes Chip, the stock clerk, has the upper hand with her. When store owner Pablo Myers announces a reward for anyone catching a shoplifter, Steve sees an opportunity to gain an advantage over Chip and win Daisy's heart.
