A legendary gunslinger, Richard Martin, is ambushed on a train by his former protégé, Billy Kane. Kane spares Martin's life but mutilates his hands, leaving him unable to wield a gun. Later, Martin crosses paths with a wrongly accused convict who has escaped from prison, and together they embark on a quest to track down Billy Kane.
