Biography of a Bachelor Girl

A journalist forms a deep connection with a reclusive artist who has created portraits of European dignitaries, and persuades her to share her life story, resulting in a poignant and intricate relationship.

Richard Kurt, editor of Everyweek Newsmagazine, becomes obsessed with tracking down Marion Forsythe, a European portrait artist with a reputation for painting - and possibly romantic entanglements - with the continent's elite. When Marion arrives in New York, Kurt convinces her to pen her biography as a magazine feature. However, an old flame of Marion's, who is now running for U.S. Senator, becomes anxious about the potential embarrassment her stories could bring and tries to persuade Marion and Kurt to abandon the project.
