Boothill Brigade background

Boothill Brigade

A cunning rancher, Reynolds, orchestrates a manipulative land deal to claim his neighbors' property, employing brutal mercenaries to silence any dissent.

Lon Cardigan, a cowboy, and his girlfriend Bobbie Reynolds are puzzled when her father, Jeff Reynolds, fires his ranch hands and hires a group of rough thugs. Lon accepts a job as herd boss, but soon discovers that Jeff is being controlled by John Porter for unknown reasons. A group of settlers informs Lon that they're being forced off their land because Jeff has bought up the entire strip at public auction, despite their claims of squatter's rights. Horrified, Lon quits and joins the settlers, and later discovers that Calico Haynes, the ranch cook, has stolen a document revealing that Jeff is secretly deeding the land to Porter.
