Bugs Bunny recounts the tale of Steve Brodie, a struggling gambler who jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge in 1886 and miraculously survived. After acquiring a rabbit's foot for good luck, Brodie meets Bugs, who convinces him he needs a different charm. Each of Bugs' suggestions only leads to more misfortune for the Irishman. Eventually, Brodie's sanity unravels under the constant sight of Bugs in various disguises, prompting him to take the plunge off the bridge.
