Broadway background

Broadway

George Raft, playing himself, reminisces about his formative years on Broadway, where he made a name for himself as a talented dancer, a formidable fighter, and a charming ladies' man, with connections to the city's most notorious gangsters.

George Raft, a dancer at the Paradise Club, confides in his partner Billie Moore about his aspirations. Meanwhile, Billie is also the object of desire for Steve Crandall, a powerful racketeer and bootlegger. When Steve murders "Scar" Edwards, who he had hijacked four truckloads of liquor from, the Paradise Club becomes the center of attention for Police Detective Dan McCorn.
