Brooklyn Babylon background

Brooklyn Babylon

A cultural fusion unfolds as a rebellious rapper and a traditional Jewish woman from a conservative family discover love amidst their contrasting upbringings and moral codes.

In the culturally diverse neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, tensions between the West Indian Rastafarian and Jewish Lubavitch communities are running high. A minor car accident sets off a chain of events as Judah, a headstrong Jewish youth, and Scratch, a charismatic African-American hustler, clash in a series of violent confrontations. Amidst the escalating conflict, Sara, Judah's betrothed, and Sol, a talented musician and artist, form an unlikely connection that echoes the legendary romance of Sheba and Solomon. Their budding friendship puts them in harm's way, threatening to upend the fragile harmony of their community.
