A 37-year-old woman, Kusum, is left to care for her eight children and mother-in-law after her husband's brutal murder by a paramilitary group in 1989. She struggles to make ends meet, taking on various jobs that lead to physical and sexual abuse. Eventually, she is arrested in a brothel, which negatively impacts her children's education. Her subsequent actions are driven by a desire for revenge.
