A young boy, Josh, faces adversity as a mixed-race child and a promising athlete, dealing with physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his mother's boyfriend, as well as neglect from his mother. However, his life takes a new turn when his estranged grandfather pushes him to study for his Bar Mitzvah, leading Josh to forge his own path and take control of his destiny.
