Chained for Life background

Chained for Life

A Siamese twin exacts deadly revenge on her unfaithful husband, sparking a complex legal dilemma as authorities grapple with the moral implications of holding one twin responsible for the murder while the other remains innocent.

In this film, a vaudeville singing act comprising conjoined twins is boosted by their manager's scheme to pair the man with a shooting act with the lead twin. The plan succeeds, and the man proposes, only to abandon the twin on their wedding night for his assistant. The betrayed twin's sister takes revenge by shooting the man during his act. The judge, presiding over the case without a jury, must navigate the complex moral dilemma of whether to punish the shooter without also condemning her sister.
