At an eerie meditation retreat, a young man is summoned by a dying theatre director to relive scenes from his life. He's given a tape of instructions and must perform scenes from the director's past over a weekend, rehearsing with five actresses who portray key women in the director's life. As the young man grows into the lead role of an unmade film, the dying director observes his progress, searching to inhabit his own identity. This is a surreal journey of self-discovery for all involved.
