A student filmmaker, Tony Hall, is known for his critical nature, even towards his own award-winning film. Despite his talent, his arrogance and controlling behavior create tension with his classmates and professors, including his girlfriend Melisse and Professor Will Ames, who had a past relationship with Melisse. As Tony begins a new project, he uses unconventional methods, filming real-life situations without consent and manipulating reality, which raises questions about his ethics and whether his behavior will ultimately isolate him from those around him.
