In the midst of a Siberian expedition, Antiques collector Maurice Hunter and his daughter Nadia, accompanied by Russian guides, embark on a quest to uncover the legendary Tesla death ray. With the ability to vaporize entire countries, the ray has already ravaged half a million acres of trees in Siberia. After finding the ray in a bat-infested cave, the Russian guides turn against the Hunters, leading Hunter to use the death ray to eliminate them. With the ray now in their possession, Hunter and Nadia must hand it over to the CIA, but first, they must escape a hijacked charter flight from Moscow to Canada, where a group of terrorists, led by Beck, aim to use the ray in a devastating attack. The jet crashes in Alberta's mountains, leaving the survivors, including Hunter, Nadia, and Barbara, to fend for themselves. CIA agents Jason Ross and Alan soon arrive to prevent the ray from falling into Beck's hands.
