A man's fixation on a luxurious deerskin jacket propels him into a downward spiral of extravagant spending and illicit activities.
Jean Dujardin, an Academy Award-winner, is a recently divorced man experiencing a mid-life crisis. He leaves his past behind and finds a vintage deerskin jacket with supernatural powers at a roadside petrol station. He moves to a quiet French alpine village, where he's mistaken for an independent filmmaker by a bartender named Adèle Haenel.
