Desert Killer background

Desert Killer

A ruthless predator stalks its prey in the mountains, terrorizing a flock of sheep, prompting a skilled hunter to embark on a perilous quest to capture the beast and restore peace to the land.

A young Native American boy, Surefoot, lives in the Arizona desert with his mother after his father's death. To supplement their income, she sells handicrafts by the roadside, but few customers stop. Surefoot takes on sheep herding duties, but lacks a sheepdog to protect the herd from mountain lions. He finds a puppy but his mother refuses to let him keep it, so he gives it to a neighboring rancher, Marvin Glenn, a skilled lion killer. When some of Surefoot's sheep are killed, Marvin and his son Warren come to the rescue, but Marvin has a surprising plan to use the mountain lion to benefit Surefoot's family in the long run.
