Tom Baxter, a landscape engineer, finds his home invaded by a criminal trio led by Jack, who forces Tom to assist in a break-in. Jack's accomplice, Beta, is aided by Omega, a former prisoner, who is tasked with intimidating Tom's family, including his wife, asthmatic son, and bratty daughter. The parents have a dark past, which weighs heavily on Jack's motivations.
