Dr. Edmund Redding, a renowned scientist, uncovers a hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid of Yucatan through his research on past lives using hypnotic regression. He and his team find two mummies, one of an ancient Aztec and the other of a modern man. While returning to Pasadena, they are ambushed by a rival professor, Janney, who steals the modern man-mummy and subjects it to a resurrection experiment. The mummy awakens as a werewolf and breaks free, while a thief sent by Janney to steal the other mummy is overcome, allowing it to escape as well.
