In the midst of a fashion house's internal struggles, a murder takes place, and the prime suspect is Jimmy, a stock clerk and driver, who was overheard making a threatening remark to Yvonne, one of the models. As Jimmy and his girlfriend Peggy try to clear his name, they uncover a web of deceit and motives among the fashion house's employees and customers, including Yvonne's wealthy boyfriend and a snobbish customer.
