Ghost City background

Ghost City

In the midst of a gold rush, a small town's tranquility is disrupted, forcing a newspaper editor to reassess his plans to expose a corrupt businessman, while the businessman himself must adapt to the influx of prospectors and reevaluate his own escape strategy.

Bill Temple, a sharpshooter, arrives in Boomtown to take down the corrupt Jim Blane, who controls the town. Bill starts a newspaper, the Boomtown Bugle, and befriends Laura Martin, whose father's land claim is being threatened by Blane. When Andy, Blane's abused stepson, gets shot trying to warn Bill, Bill kills Buck, one of Blane's accomplices, in self-defense.
