Peter and Laura, a couple, purchase a house to renovate as an investment, but their relationship deteriorates amidst disagreements. After they split, Peter discovers a mysterious photo of a young girl named Emily with a sock puppet. A stranger, Mr. Blake, visits Peter, warning him to leave the house, but Peter is determined to complete the project and sell the property. To his dismay, Laura returns to help, and they start to suspect that the house is haunted.
