A group of four thieves, having stolen a million dollars' worth of gems, become stranded in the Carolinas after their jeep runs out of gas. They take refuge with a local moonshiner and his wife, but soon exploit their hospitality, falling prey to the temptation of the wife and the supposed hidden fortune.
