Invitation to a Gunfighter

A weary Confederate veteran returns to his New Mexico roots, only to face bitter resentment and discover his former fiancée has taken up with a Union soldier, prompting him to unravel a treacherous scheme to claim his land.

Matt Weaver, a Confederate soldier, returns home after the Civil War to find his property has been sold by the town's ruthless boss, Sam Brewster. Brewster hires the notorious gunfighter Jules Gaspard d'Estaing to take care of Weaver, but d'Estaing's unconventional methods surprisingly bring peace to the town.
