In this film, a group of cats attend a school called Katnip Kollege to learn the art of Swingology. Johnny, however, struggles to keep up and is relegated to the dunce chair. Miss Kitty Bright encourages him to come to her when he finally masters the swing. After listening to a pendulum clock, Johnny discovers the beat and rushes to join his classmates, singing "Easy As Rollin' Off a Log" to impress Kitty Bright. She joins in, and during an instrumental break, Johnny picks up a trumpet, blending in with the band. The two cats ultimately fall off a log, and Kitty Bright showers Johnny with kisses.
