A group of hippies are relocated to a ghost town by a group of merchants who want them to leave their small southern town. The hippies, led by "You Know", a horticulturalist, set up their own commune, Violets, and try to create an idealistic society. However, as time passes, tensions arise from within and outside the community, and the utopia slowly turns into a capitalist society with unequal treatment among its members.
