Canadian Tom Merritt discovers a substance, Compound X, that cures infantile paralysis, but a warring country learns it also has magnetic properties to enhance their mines against the British fleet. They send an undercover intelligence officer to secure a steady supply of Compound X, while a Canadian Mountie, Major Ross King, is killed in a fight against the agent's henchmen. His son, Sergeant Dave King, takes over and discovers a "sham" sanitarium is actually a front to ship Compound X abroad.
