In ancient Bagdad, a beggar named Hafiz, known as the King of Beggars, pretends to be a prince, hiding his true identity while falling in love with a queen. Meanwhile, his daughter Marsinah has fallen in love with the son of the head gardener of the new Caliph, who is unaware that Marsinah's father is the man who saved his life one night.
