Letter from an Unknown Woman

In 1900 Vienna, Stefan Brand, a concert pianist, must face a duel but has no intention of defending his honor. He receives a letter from his past, prompting him to rekindle his relationship with Lisa Berndle, a woman he met as a teenager and forgot about. Unbeknownst to him, Lisa is the mother of his child and has married another man who knows about her past. Years later, Lisa's love for Brand resurfaces, leading her to consider abandoning her husband and son for him, ultimately resulting in tragedy.
