In the mining community of Lamplight, a stranger named Neal Wallace is accused of murder by a group of outlaws posing as miners. Despite being befriended by Little Joe Smith, Neal is met with skepticism by Sheriff Bob Brewster and Janet Hammond. However, Neal's identity is confirmed through a telegram and he sets out to round up the gang members who falsely accused him. The outlaws, who have imprisoned Janet, attempt to escape with stolen gold, leading to a dramatic gun battle at the ore smelter.
