As frustration builds, Dinkar curses being born Marathi and believes his ancestors must have committed a heinous crime. This outburst reaches Pratapgad, arousing the spirit of Shivaji Maharaj, who is furious at Dinkar's shallow thinking. Shivaji Maharaj fires Dinkar, telling him to command respect, not demand it, and blames his thinking for the Marathis' sorry state.
