Gavin's 6-foot volcano has been collecting dust in his dad's shed for five years, ever since he asked to store it temporarily. Despite his dad's repeated threats to destroy it, Gavin is determined to find a way to make it a symbol of reconciliation between them. However, his dad's lack of interest in modern art and refusal to participate in a documentary about the volcano pose significant challenges to Gavin's goal.
