At the turn of the century, Denny O'Moore travels from New York to Texas to surprise his brother Patrick at his silver mine near the Mexico border. He meets Texas Ranger Joe Waldner, who suspects Patrick is involved with the notorious Mexican bandit El Tigre. After escaping capture, Denny tries to convince Patrick to leave El Tigre, while falling in love with Patrick's sweetheart Carmel Alvarado.
