Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including crocodile attacks, armed bandits, and arrests. The team's four-month journey reveals a wondrous region, abundant treasures, and breathtaking cinematography showcasing Tissisat Falls, Egypt's wonders, and forgotten black pyramids of Meroe, as well as 12th century churches carved into sheer rock.
