A young man named Frankie Kane, raised in a Catholic orphanage, discovers he's Jewish and is forced to move to a Jewish home, leading him to run away and turn to a life of crime. Years later, he reunites with his old friend Martin, now a district attorney, and gets involved with a crime syndicate. Frankie then falls in love with Julie again and decides to help Martin take down the syndicate.
