A traveling salesman, Tom Wilson, helps Margie Blake with a flat tire, and they realize they're complete opposites who dislike each other. After a series of misunderstandings, they're forced to share a hotel room with an oilman and his new bride, who think they're a married couple having a spat. The oilman, Sam Sawyer, tries to get them to reconcile, even going so far as to lock them in a suite together for the night.
