Jay Trotta, a former prisoner, uses his time in prison to get sober and eventually gains part ownership in a hookah bar. He then starts manufacturing and marketing a powerful drug, claiming it's not for human consumption. Despite making a fortune, Jay keeps his girlfriend April in the dark, knowing she wouldn't approve. As tragedy strikes, Jay must confront the moral implications of his business and decide what's more important: his conscience or his wealth.
