In 1887, Hadley, Missouri, a town transformed by a "new order" of law and prosperity, is home to a complex web of past and present conflicts. Justin Gatewood, recently released from prison, seeks revenge against William Curry, a former Union officer who was responsible for the death of Gatewood's brother during the Civil War.
