Two brothers, Amine and Tahir, are forced to navigate their father's sudden departure from their family in N'djamena. The 8-year-old Amine, who has asthma, and his 15-year-old brother Tahir, who is quiet and protective, embark on a journey to find their father, encountering only trouble along the way. As their mother struggles to cope with the loss, the boys must confront the harsh realities of their new life, which includes a musical uncle, a village Koran school, and a young deaf woman who plays a significant role in the story.
