In 2047, an alien entity known as FOS ravages Earth's major cities, prompting a global response to defend against future attacks. Three years later, a plan is set in motion to launch a final counterattack, requiring the disabling of the Diffuser, a device designed to repel further invasions. Led by Akeshima Taishi, who seeks revenge for the loss of his father during the initial invasion, the mission is a desperate bid to reclaim the planet.
