A plane takes off from Peru in a storm with two passengers, but one goes missing, leaving behind valuable oil location maps. Dan Hammer, a private eye, agent, and con man, is hired to retrieve the maps, and his mission becomes complicated by the involvement of nightclub singer Maxine, whose true loyalties are unclear.
