In the film, a determined cattle rancher and publisher, Ma Conway, takes on corrupt government officials and bankers to ensure Wyoming's successful admission to the United States.

Ma Conway, a determined rancher and publisher, fights to have Wyoming join the Union despite corruption from politicians and bankers. Her cattle drive is blocked by rival businessman Jesse Dixon's henchmen, but a notorious outlaw, the Cheyenne Kid, saves her cowhand Eddie. The Cheyenne Kid is hired by the rival businessman to ruin Ma's business, but ultimately turns against them after discovering his true identity as Ma's long-lost son.
