A prisoner, Roger Mason, is trapped in a futuristic maximum-security facility, repeatedly attempting to escape to be reunited with his daughter. Despite his efforts, each breakout is thwarted, and he's forced to endure extended periods of suspended animation, aging only slightly while his daughter grows older, leaving him hopeless and desperate for freedom.
