A nightmarish journey into the left and right brain, "Subconscious Cruelty" is composed of four seemingly unrelated parts. The film begins with a discussion of film as a means of escape, before introducing the viewer to the dark side with a naked woman and a sharp scalpel. The movie then descends into a series of disturbing scenes, including a twisted sibling relationship, a pagan ritual, and a businessman's descent into hallucinations of horror.
