In the city of New York, a young orphan named Treasure McGuire tries to make a living by getting a job as a stenographer at an advertising firm. However, she is turned down and instead finds work as a model for a hosiery brand. Treasure becomes the face of the brand, known as the "Tango Girl", and her life changes dramatically. She meets a wealthy man named Tony, and despite the objections of his family, they fall in love and get married. However, their happiness is short-lived as Tony's family tries to annul the marriage and Tony becomes suspicious of Treasure's intentions. In the end, Tony discovers the truth and realizes his love for Treasure, and they are reunited with their son.
