In 1916, Indiana Jones, living with his dad in Princeton, New Jersey, is eager to take his girlfriend Nancy to the prom in a sleek new Bugati. However, his plans are disrupted when a mysterious break-in, the theft of an electric motor, and rumors of German spies lead to a mystery that Indy and Nancy must solve. The duo then heads to the southwest to visit family, but their adventure takes a turn when they witness Pancho Villa's attack on Columbus, New Mexico. Indy joins Villa's cause, rides with the Villistas, and meets a Belgian expatriate, a young George S. Patton, and a murderer who escaped the law in Cairo. This adventure sets Indy on a path that will lead him to war-torn Europe.
