A Vietnamese refugee, haunted by his past, embarks on a treacherous journey from New York to Texas to reconcile with his estranged American father, in search of comfort and a fresh start.
The film tells the story of Binh, a 17-year-old Vietnamese boy who was forced to flee his village to find his mother in Saigon, and later attempt to escape to the U.S. with his younger half-brother Tam in 1990.
