After being wrongly accused of jewel theft, Audrey is released from prison and seeks refuge with her stepsister Dora. Dora invites Audrey to a party hosted by her boyfriend Lacey, where they meet their enigmatic neighbor Mr. Malpas. However, things take a dramatic turn when Audrey receives a job offer from Malpas, setting off a chain of events involving a missing heir, stolen diamonds, and a kidnapping plot.
